About Dr. Mehdian

Dr. Mehdian completed his undergraduate training at UCLA majoring in Biology and Applied Mathematics.  He attended medical school at New York Medical College, where he earned his Doctorate in Medicine degree.

Dr. Mehdian subsequently moved back to California to rejoin his family and started his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the prestigious University of Southern California (USC). Following the completion of his Residency requirements, he pursued and completed his fellowship in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at USC.

Dr. Mehdian is Board Certified in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. His research background was focused in the areas of critical Care and sleep Medicine, and his findings were published in reputable publications, such as ‘CHEST’ and ‘Critical Care Medicine’. Dr. Mehdian is an active member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Society of Critical Care Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.

Dr. Mehdian has had an active practice in Thousand Oaks/Newbury Park since 2002, where he sees and manages Pulmonary, Sleep, and Internal Medicine patients at his office. He is an active member of the Staff at Los Robles Hospital, where he was the Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit from 2012- to 2017, and is now acting as the Vice Chief of Medicine. He is presently a key member of the Critical Care program at Adventist, Simi Valley Hospital. In the field of Sleep Medicine, he is the Supervising Physician for Advanced Sleep Medicine branches at Thousand Oaks and Encino.
